Children's Outreach at Ridgecrest United Methodist

The Ridgecrest United Methodist Church’s building is currently closed due to health and safety precautions, but the church is still open for worship, assistance, outreach, and support. 

Sunday worship offered two ways! Drive-in parking lot worship Sundays at 8:00am, south social hall parking lot, please stay in your vehicles, tune radio to 97.3FM, no restrooms available. Facebook Live stream worship Sunday’s at 10:30am on the Ridgecrest United Methodist Church page, with worship uploaded to the church’s YouTube channel, Ridgecrest UMC of CA, after the service concludes. 

Drive-thru holy communion offered the first Sunday of every month in small north parking lot, 12noon to 1:00pm.

Worship from home children’s bulletins, sermon note worksheets, and weekly devotions are offered for free, available each new month for pick-up during drive-thru communion, drive-in parking lot worship, and anytime on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary doors. Packaged by age- preschool to 2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and teen.

MIDWEEK KIDS Drive-Thru Events (Updated 7/8/2020)

Every Wednesday in July, 2020, RUMC is offering free activity bags for children of the community. Drive-thru pick-up via the south social hall parking lot any time Wednesday’s from 11am-12noon.

RUMC Kids Church Online (Updated 7/8/2020)

RUMC’s children outreach director Amy Ochoa is hosting 25 minute weekly online Kids Church for children up to 6th grade and posting to YouTube via the Ridgecrest UMC of CA channel. Each week features a spirit day, a Bible lesson, song, activity, and prayer.

Other ways to donate and tithe while the church building is closed:

1) Mailing a check or money order to RUMC, 639 North Norma Street, Ridgecrest, CA 93555,

2) Putting a check or money order in the brown overnight drop box outside the RUMC sanctuary, facing the small north parking lot, by the stained glass window.

3) Contacting the church staff to drop off in-person.
